In our story there are successes and failures, ups and downs, developments and discoveries. Most of all, it's a love story for agriculture, farmers and planters.<\/p>

Shorashim was founded by farmers with roots \u2013 Yossi Aviaya Malachi and Hanania Avakrat.<\/strong><\/p>

Yossi Aviaya Malachi was born in Kfar Hess in 1945 and grew up in Kfar Saba. As a child, he absorbed the love of the land during his visits to uncle Dov Spinner in Kfar Hess, and in the auxiliary farm in the yard in Kfar Saba.<\/p>

Yossi spent his youth at the Eshel President Agricultural School. After his military service, he decided to study at the Faculty of Agriculture in Rehovot and in 1971 completed his master's degree in vegetable cultivation.<\/p>

After school, he served as an agricultural guide in the Negev Training Bureau.<\/p>

In 1974, the Aviaya Malachi family moved to Moshav Netiv Haasarah in Petah Rafah, and began developing an independent farm. The farm included a variety of crops: mangoes, flowers, tomatoes and a vineyard.<\/p>

In 1977, Yossi began to develop the field of transplantation with the production of vegetable seedlings and flower seedlings \u2013 Adad and Gipsanit.<\/p>

Hanania Avakrat<\/strong> was born in 1946 in Casablanca, Morocco. At the age of 9, he immigrated to Israel with his family to a safe seat in the HaBsor region. During his youth, he was educated at Nahalat Yehuda agricultural boarding school.<\/p>

Hanania, who was educated and raised on the values and foundations of agriculture, returned home after the Yom Kippur War and helped develop and operate the family farm. A few years later, he established his private home in the Moshav and cultivated an independent farm that included vegetables, orchards and flowers.<\/p>

With the encouragement of his brother-in-law, Yossi Aviaya Malachi, in 1979 he began growing vegetable seedlings in a mesh house.<\/p>

In 1982, Hanania and Yossi decided to co-found the "Shorashim" nursery.<\/p>

The concept of Shorashim represents for us the connection to the values of love of the land, settlement and flowering of the wilderness, as well as friendship, loyalty and family.<\/p>

These values are combined and expressed in the development of advanced production processes on the one hand, and in the development of a warm, personal and unmediated relationship with agriculture practitioners throughout the country, on the other.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
